How to choose the right support

When applying direct pressure to the bunion, a soft silicone cover or thin toe separator can reduce friction and shoe chafing. If the forefoot has widened or the front arch has sunk, a shoe insert with a built-in pad provides a lift that spreads the load more evenly. Choose especially thin gel separators when you have to wear narrow shoes, or a night support if the toe feels stiff in the morning. If you also have a hammer toe, a small cushion under the forefoot can make a big difference. Self-adhesive pads are placed directly on the sole and support the arch where it is needed most.
